Funclusion

About

Pakistan’s first inclusive recreational space where inclusion and play come together. Designed for children of all abilities!

Our Vision

To transform societal understanding of neurodiversity by creating welcoming spaces, equal opportunities, and evidence-based care for all abilities.

Founder’s Story:

Dr. Maheen Noorani is a visionary leader at the intersection of neuroscience-informed pedagogy, special education, and family advocacy. An elite academic and practitioner, she holds *dual Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Columbia University, alongside an **Ed.D. (Doctorate in Education)*, making her a formidable force in developmental learning.

As a Board-Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) and international education consultant, Dr. Noorani’s professional trajectory has always been defined by clinical rigor and evidence-based innovation. However, her mission transformed from an academic pursuit into a lifelong calling with the birth of her two autistic children. Navigating the systemic gaps in neurodivergent care as both an expert and a mother sparked a powerful realization: world-class clinical support must be paired with genuine, joyful community inclusion.

Driven by this conviction, Dr. Noorani founded Funclusion—a groundbreaking enterprise that established Pakistan’s very first fully inclusive recreational and therapeutic space.

A Paradigm Shift in Inclusive Play and Therapy

Under Dr. Noorani’s leadership, Funclusion serves as a pioneering hub where sensory-rich play, specialized therapy, and holistic learning converge. By bridging the gap between rigorous therapeutic intervention and unstructured social development, she is dismantling barriers for neurodivergent children and creating an ecosystem where children of all abilities thrive side by side.

Beyond therapeutic play, Dr. Noorani works directly with families, schools, and institutions to spearhead inclusive curriculum design, empower parents through high-impact coaching, and champion systemic accessibility. Her work is not just about adapting space—it’s about reshaping how society views, supports, and celebrates neurodiversity.

“Inclusion isn’t an afterthought or a policy—it is the foundation upon which every child discovers their capability and joy.”
— Dr. Maheen Noorani
